83 and 2 months

I'm on St. George Island in Florida.  Weather app says it is 50 degrees outside.  It says it is 9 degrees in Pittsburg so I am glad to be here.  It has not been a warm Florida break but it has not gotten to freezing.  Just got off phone with a friend in Pittsburgh who says she is staying in her pajamas today because they are warm and no one will come to the house because it is too cold to go outside.  Daughter reports that the downstairs of our house just can't get warm enough and she is on sofa with blankets and a heating pad.  App says Madison is -8 degrees right now.  I hope my Madison friends are staying inside and staying warm.  Actually, I hope that for everyone in those frigid part of our county.  I think about the homeless population and my wishes are for warm places for those folks to spend time in these very cold days.  Let's pray that our shelters are not saying that folks have to leave at 9 in the morning.  Are our churc...

almost 83.1

I am going to have my 83rd birthday in a couple of weeks thus I am again pondering life, love and the state of the universe - as well as lots of trivia.  I thought I would record a little of life and a little of trivia.  Part of this is driven by idle thoughts that pass through my head that I might like to remember.  Part of it is driven by thinking I need to do something besides watching MSNBC in my idle time. About life - I got a new prosthesis a week ago.  I have lost  bit of weight, my amputated limb got smaller, and I was wobbling around in my last prosthesis.  This one is smaller Also, the pain I was having where flesh met amputated fibula is no longer there.  I only have a weeks experience with this new part of me, but to date, I am so pleased with it.  Bionic Annie walks again!!  (At least a little bit). About trivia - the new King Arthur's Flour Catalog arrived in yesterday's mail and I have been perusing it.  So much stuff ...
